"Lisa Frankenstein" is a coming of RAGE love story about a misunderstood teenager (Kathryn Newton) and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse (Cole Sprouse). After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness … and a few missing body parts along the way. (Gary Reber)

Special features include commentary with Director Zelda Williams, the featurettes "Resurrecting The 1980s" (HD 04:34), "An Electric Connection" (HD 04:43) and "A Dark Comedy Duo" (HD 04:01), five deleted scenes (HD 02:26), a gag reel (HD 02:26) and a Movies Anywhere digital copy.

The 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photograph digitally and sourced from a 2K Digital Intermediate. The picture exhibits a generally vivid color palette with at times strong primaries and a range of hue shading that enhance realism. Interiors appear natural and realistic while the cemetery and its foreground area exhibits greens and grays realistically. Contrast is excellent wth natural black levels and shadows that reveal depth, though some segments appear a bit dark overall. White levels are naturally illuminate the imagery. Resolution exhibits goof detail in facial features including makeup and complexions as well as hair, fabric texture, and objects. This is a satisfying picture, though the cinematography often limits contrast and color fidelity. (Gary Reber)

The DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1-channel soundtrack is dialogue focused within in a background of atmospheric sets. Sound effects are enhanced with bass transients. The music is nicely supportive with a wide soundstage that extends to the surrounds. While surround energy is enveloping, often there is no surround energy during interior segments. Dialogue is intelligible though a bit forward sounding. This is generally a fun holosonic® soundtrack. (Gary Reber)
