In "Night Swim" a former major league baseball player (Wyatt Russell) is forced into early retirement by a degenerative illness and move into a new home with his wife (Kerry Condon) and their two children. The new home comes complete with a backyard swimming pool, bt a deep secret surfaces and unleashes a malevolent force that wil drag the family into the inescapable depths of terror. (Gary Reber)

Special features include commentary with Co-Writer/Director Bryce McGuire; four featurettes: "Masters Of Fear" (HD 06:45), "Demons From The Depths" (HD 07:16), "Into The Deep" (HD 05:50) and "Marco Polo" (HD 04:04); and a Movies Anywhere digital copy.

The 2.39:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photograph digitally using the Arri Alexa 35 camera system and sourced from a 4K Digital Intermediate. The picture exhibits naturalness throughout from interiors to outdoor scenes, including the numerous scenes around or in the pool. The color palette appears naturally hued with warm and rich shadings. Contrast exhibits natural blacks, shadows and white levels. Resolution exhibits fine detail in facial features, especially during closeups, clothing fabrics an object detail, including the unmistaken characteristic of water. This is a pleasing visual experience with increasing terrorizing segments. (Gary Reber)

The Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack is nicely enveloping with deep .1 LFE bass enhancement that provides the foundation for the terror. Atmospherics sound realistic and sound effects are designed to create fear and terror. The orchestral/choral score is dynamic sounding and enveloping with extension to the surrounds. Surround envelopment is often aggressive with at times directional effects. Dialogue i generally well integrated spatially. This is frightening holosonic® experience with scary sound effects that elicits fear. (Gary Reber)
