    "Drive-Away Dolls" follows Jamie (Margaret Qualley), an uninhibited free spirit bemoaning yet another breakup with a girlfriend, and her demure friend Marian (Geraldine Viswanathan), who desperately needs to loosen up. In search of a fresh start, the two embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, but things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way. (Gary Reber)

    Special features include the featurettes "The Drive-Away Gang" (HD 03:11), "Drive-Away Dolls: An Ethan And Tricia Project" (HD 03:27 and "Road Trip Essentials" (HD 0:57), and a Movies Anywhere digital copy.

    The 1.85:1 1080p AVC picture, reviewed on a VIZIO Quantum X P85QX-JI UHD/HDR display, was photograph digitally using the Arri Alexa 35 camera system and sourced from a 4K Digital Intermediate. The picture exhibits naturalness throughout with intense color segments between scenes. Colors are nicely saturated during these segues. The scenes of the road trip are perfectly balanced with realistic hues depicting people, clothes and objects. Contrast is well balanced with natural back levels, revealing shadows and natural white levels. Resolution is reveling of fine facial features, clothing fabrics and object texture. The imagery is light and fun and a captivating visual experience. (Gary Reber)

    The is mis-credited as a Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack, but technically is a Dolby Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1-channel soundtrack. The sound design is nicely crafted with realistic atmospherics and sound effects that support an otherwise dialogue focused proceeding. Deep bass support is provided during the road trip travels. Atmospherics are often strong. The music is varied and nicely forward sounding with a wide and deep soundstage that fills the surrounds. Dialogue sounds integrated spatially and natural.

    The Immersive Sound element is comprised of atmospherics and the occasional sound effect pans during the scene segues. There is no extension of the music except for a guitar in one of the segues. Far more could have been accomplished but was not.

    This is a fun and engaging holosonic® soundtrack that is pleasurable to experience. (Gary Reber)

    I read this bad-ass magazine for its tight reference systems and for helping me set up my Monster HTPS 7000 Home Theatre Power Source. It also helps me set up my Hitachi Ultra Vision LCD TV. I also read it for the DVD reviews, along with the DVD drop dates. I also read it so I can daydream about actually owning something in this magazine, including that Monster HTPS 7000. I have a Bose system, but I'm ready to step it up.
